Asante. (Thank you in Swahalli) I’m truly grateful that you’re here. This space was created with intention, care, and a deep love for healing within our community, our wholeness, and our return to self.
I want to share a little about why this journey to Tanzania and Nairobi means so much to me.
For me, going to Afrika is not just about taking a trip. It is about being there for yourself. Not what you saw on television. Not what somebody else told you Afrika was. Not the pictures, the stereotypes, or the stories we were given. I want us to stand on the land, meet our people, eat the food, learn the history, sit with the culture, and experience it with our own eyes and our own spirit.
There is medicine in that.
There is medicine in waking up with the sun, moving your body, walking in nature, watching the evening sky, eating good food, creating art, learning, volunteering, sitting with the earth, and simply being present.
We will have those moments. We will also laugh, explore, rest, enjoy the beauty, and yes, even go on safari and Mt. Kilimajoro.
I want this journey to feel real. Not rushed. Not performative. Not like we are just checking places off a list.
I want us to come home carrying something with us. A deeper connection. A different understanding. A memory in the body.
That is the kind of journey I want to share with you.
This Is Afrika Beyond Tourism
Experience the beauty of a Maasai village, the majesty of Mount Kilimanjaro, flavorful local cuisine, the rich history of the land, serene beaches, waterfalls, and an optional wildlife safari.
Our journey will also include opportunities for meditation, sacred movement, dancing, journaling, affirmations, healing circles, nature, and intentional moments of rest and reflection.
Spend an ancestral day with the legendary Mama C of the Black Panther Party, receiving her wisdom and inspiration, and connect with members of the diaspora who will share their experiences of living and investing in Afrika.

An important part of our journey is our continued relationship with Tanzania Great Minds, a community we have grown to love and support.
We will spend meaningful time with the children, visit the land, and continue contributing to the development of their school and nurturing sanctuary. This is not simply a day of service. It is an opportunity to give, receive, connect, learn, and pour into community with humility and love.

Your $4,111 investment includes roundtrip international airfare from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), accommodations, daily farm-to-table breakfast, in-country flights between destinations, and ground transportation throughout the journey.

Your monthly payment amount will be based on when you join the journey and the number of months remaining before the final payment deadline.
A Few Things to Plan For
The following are not included in the journey investment: the Tanzania visa fee, optional safari experience, group gratuity contribution, additional meals and beverages not specifically included, certain excursions or entrance fees, and the optional single-room supplement.
