Our Shared Journey Agreements
This journey is more than travel. It is an intentional gathering rooted in ancestral remembrance, cultural connection, healing, reciprocity, and community.
To care for the experience and everyone walking this path together, we ask that each traveler read these shared agreements with intention before registering.
By completing your registration and submitting your initial deposit, you are confirming that you understand and agree to the information below.
A Not-for-Profit Journey
This experience is organized as a not-for-profit journey. Your investment supports the actual costs of bringing us together, including airfare, accommodations, in-country transportation, daily breakfast, journey preparation, administrative expenses, and payments to our hosts and service providers in Afrika.
This journey is not being created to profit from travelers. It is an offering centered on cultural immersion, ancestral remembrance, holistic renewal, community support, and meaningful connection with the Motherland.
Payments made toward the journey are not charitable donations and are not tax-deductible.
Honoring Your Financial Commitment
A completed registration form and the $555 initial deposit are required to hold your space.
After your deposit is received, your remaining balance will be divided into monthly payments based on your registration date. All final payments must be received on or before September 12, 2027.
If you experience difficulty making a scheduled payment, please communicate with the Tour Organizer in advance so we can discuss possible arrangements together.
Payments received after the final deadline may be subject to a $111 late fee or cancellation of the reservation. Travel documents cannot be issued until the journey has been paid in full.
Cancellations and Refunds
All payments are nonrefundable.
As payments are received, funds are sent to Afrika and other service providers to secure airfare, accommodations, transportation, and other arrangements on your behalf. Because these funds cannot be recovered once committed, they cannot be returned or transferred to a future journey.
We strongly encourage each traveler to consider personal travel insurance for additional protection if an unexpected situation prevents them from traveling.
Being Present and On Time
Our movement throughout Afrika depends on everyone honoring when we must move as a group for flights
Refunds or credits cannot be provided for missed flights, transportation, meals, activities, excursions, or other parts of the journey resulting from lateness, absence, illness, or a personal decision not to participate.
Any additional expenses resulting from missed transportation or activities will be the traveler’s responsibility.
Passports, Visas and Entry Requirements
Each traveler is responsible for maintaining a valid passport and satisfying the visa, immigration, health, and entry requirements for Kenya and Tanzania.
Your passport must remain valid for at least six months from your planned date of entry and contain the required blank visa pages.
You will not be left to navigate the visa process alone. The Tour Organizer will provide step-by-step guidance, host information, and the available supporting documents. However, each traveler is responsible for completing and submitting their own application.
Visa approvals and entry decisions are made by the appropriate government authorities and cannot be guaranteed. To date, none of our travelers has been denied a Tanzania visa.
Health and Vaccinations
At this time, no vaccinations are required for travelers entering Tanzania directly from the United States.
Because our experience also includes Kenya, requirements may depend on the final order of travel between Kenya and Tanzania. We will review the current information together before departure and notify everyone if anything changes.
We honor bio-individuality. Vaccinations, medications, and other healthcare decisions remain the personal responsibility of each traveler. You may consult a trusted healthcare professional or natural health practitioner for guidance based on your individual needs.
Required Inbound Travel Insurance
Zanzibar currently requires international visitors to obtain mandatory Inbound Travel Insurance before arrival. Mainland Tanzania has also introduced an inbound travel-insurance requirement for foreign visitors, with final implementation details still being established.
We will confirm the current requirements before our 2027 departure and walk through the process together.
Whenever available, we will apply as a group. This may make the process easier and could reduce the individual cost, depending on the official group rate available at that time.
Required inbound insurance is separate from the journey investment and remains the responsibility of each traveler. It is also different from optional personal travel insurance that may cover cancellations, missed flights, or other unexpected expenses.
Don’t worry. We will complete the required process together.
Accessibility and Individual Support
Every traveler deserves to feel seen, respected, and supported.
If you require accessibility accommodations or additional assistance, please share your needs with the Tour Organizer when you register. We will make every reasonable effort to support you throughout the experience.
Some services are provided by independent airlines, hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, and excursion providers, so every accommodation cannot be guaranteed.
The Tour Organizer does not provide personal care or individualized mobility assistance. Travelers requiring this level of support must be accompanied by a responsible and qualified companion.
Personal Expenses
Each traveler is responsible for personal services and purchases that are not included in the journey.
These may include room service, laundry, minibar charges, additional meals and beverages, personal purchases, optional activities, entrance fees, and hotel incidentals.
Before leaving each accommodation, please confirm that all personal charges have been paid in full.
Our Travel Partners
It’s Time For Healing Holistic Sanctuary lovingly coordinates this journey with airlines, hotels, transportation companies, restaurants, guides, community hosts, excursion operators, and other independent providers.
Each provider is responsible for the services it offers.
Some circumstances are outside our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government actions, public-health emergencies, strikes, civil unrest, illness, airline disruptions, lost property, service interruptions, or changes made by independent providers.
If something unexpected occurs, we will communicate with the group and make every reasonable effort to support a safe and peaceful path forward.
Allowing the Journey to Flow
International travel sometimes requires flexibility. For the safety, comfort, and collective well-being of the group, the Tour Organizer may need to adjust the itinerary, change accommodations or transportation, reschedule an experience, or remove an activity.
Whenever possible, changes will be communicated clearly and a comparable alternative will be offered.
We ask everyone to arrive with an open heart, a flexible spirit, and an understanding that the journey may unfold differently than originally planned.
Honoring and Documenting Our Story
We believe in documenting and sharing our own stories. Portions of the journey may be photographed, recorded, or documented through video, audio, written reflections, and other forms of storytelling, education, promotion, and marketing.
If you do not want to be photographed or recorded, please notify the Tour Organizer in writing before departure. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your request.
Community Care, Cultural Respect and Sacred Space
We are entering communities, homes, cultural spaces, and ancestral lands as guests. Everyone is expected to treat fellow travelers, hosts, elders, children, community members, staff, sacred spaces, and the land with care and respect.
We ask each traveler to protect the peace of the group, communicate with compassion, honor cultural customs, and move with humility.
Behavior that threatens the safety, dignity, harmony, or well-being of the group may result in a traveler being unable to continue with an activity or the remainder of the journey. In that situation, a refund cannot be provided.
Our Shared Agreement
By registering and submitting your initial deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these shared Terms & Conditions.
A completed registration form is required for every traveler before travel documents can be issued.
Participants under the age of 18 must have all required forms completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian.
